I got a chuckle out of this article on 10 ways to make your own laundry detergent. I guess I never thought about making my own because I just buy mine at the store (the cost of that detergent looks like about a quarter per load). But I guess if you make your own, it costs just “pennies a load.”  So I suppose that would be a pretty significant savings.

The other benefit must be that your laundry comes smelling like whatever you want. All you need to do is add an essential oil, and your laundry could smell like anything from lavendar to rosemary. Interesting…
