Elaine’s Birthday Party Tonight
My future sister-in-law, Elaine is having a birthday party tonight at her place. I’m still sick, so we’ll see how far I make it into the night. Ugh. I hate being sick.

Please join me in welcoming Jubilee Huaeying Cho into the world. This post is a few days late in coming, but it’s here. Here’s the e-mail I got from “her” when she was just one day old. Smart cookie! That’s my (technically future) niece !
Hello World!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Jubilee Huaeying Cho. When my parents first found out they were having me, their first thought was that they wanted me to have much joy. My parents saw that I gave a little smile when I entered this world, that’s why they named me Jubilee. My middle name means “Graceful Heroine.” It was given to me by my parents as well, with the help of both sets of my grandparents and my great grandmother Cho.
My arrival date was August 26, 2008 at 5:44pm. I just found out that I weigh 7 pounds and 12 ounces and am 20 inches in length.
Mommy Amy and Daddy Jeremy says “hi” to everyone!
Can’t wait to meet you all!
Love,
Jubilee
Below, we have the e-mail post card sent out by Jeremy and Amy as well as pictures of Daddy (unfortunately, covering her face) and Jubilee. The pictures were taken about 7:20PM on 8/26, so she was a mere hour and a half old. So adorable!
Amy had her baby tonight, and that makes Charlene an auntie. I guess I’m a close enough family friend that that makes me an uncle as well. And of course when Charlene and I get married I’ll really be an uncle. I guess it’s a little crazy to think about. I always figured I’d have to wait until Andy had a kid before I was uncle. I guess I never really considered that I could be an uncle because of my wife’s side of the family. This is a little nuts. Anyways, I told Charlene that Jason has nothing on me I’m gunning for the title of “Best Uncle.” haha
Wishing you an awesome birthday on today, 08-08-08. Incidentally today is the first day of the Olympics.
Another year wiser. Congratulations. Hope you had fun at Macaroni Grill. Sorry I couldn’t be there to celebrate with you.
Happy birthday, Dad. Thanks for making the gift giving so easy. We’ll just have to find a time to schedule that hike of yours up Bishops.
Just a shout out to my Aye Yee in Tucson. Hope you have a great time celebrating. Quite fortuitously, today is also Chinese New Years.
